Originally from the Quad Cities, IL, Aimee Ray graduated with both Attendance and Academic Honors from the Healing Arts and Massage School in Raleigh, NC in 2012.  From 2012 through 2016 Aimee practiced massage therapy on a “referral only basis” while maintaining a full-time accounting position. In July of 2017, with the support of her family and the encouragement of her long-time friends (Amy Shirley and April Lintner), Aimee joined them on a part-time basis at Sage Bodywork Therapy; where she is quickly gaining a diverse client base.

 

Aimee is certified and specializes in Lymphatic massage, which not only promotes whole body wellness and relaxation, but is also safe for all ages and body types.  In addition to her primary practice of Lymphatic Massage, Aimee is also certified in Swedish/Relaxation Massage, Prenatal/Perinatal and Pregnancy Massage, Infant Massage, Geriatric Massage, and has additional training with individuals with compromised immune systems.  Aimee also practices and is certified in the in the energy healing modality of Reiki, and is well versed in Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Qi Gong, and Quantum Touch, which she incorporates into every client therapy session. 

Aimee enjoys working in conjunction with clients as they work to overcome obstacles in their daily lives.  She has experience working with clients experiencing PTSD symptoms, panic attacks, generalized anxiety disorders, and overwhelming stress. She also enjoys working with clients of all abilities and has experience working with individuals with varying levels of neurodiversity, including the autism spectrum. She also has experience working with individuals with hearing and vision challenges and maintains an open and welcoming environment for the LGBTQIA+ community.

 

In her free time, Aimee enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, friends, and pets.  She enjoys reading, writing, learning, meditating, gardening, and working on her home.  She is currently learning sign language and is also an avid martial artist working towards her black belt.

Originally from Smithfield, VA, Dawn Smith graduated Summa Cum Laude from Gwinnett College, former known as The Medical Arts School in Raleigh in 2018. Dawn began practicing massage on a part-time basis while working her full-time corporate job. She recently transitioned from her corporate job to massage full-time.


Dawn has a passion for helping clients achieve balance. She believes that massage is a holistic way to restore balance to the body. She loves creating relaxation experiences using an integrative approach to wellness by incorporating sight, sound, aroma, and touch to lift the spirit, calm the mind and rejuvenate the body. She believes that the body, soul and spirit are connected and dis-ease or lack of peace of any of these parts can show up in the body as pain.

Her wellness journey started with the love of aromatherapy and led her to the intriguing world of massage therapy. Dawn is certified in AromaTouch, Hot Stones and Mu-Xing therapy. Massage modalities include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Trigger Point, and Lomi Lomi. She loves creating her own massage oils using various essential oils and incorporating them into her massages.

 

She is currently studying to become a Certified Aromatherapist. In addition, she loves TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), Reiki, Ayurveda, sound therapy and incorporates those elements into her massage sessions.


In her free time, Dawn enjoys spending time with her husband and their chihuahua, Grace. She has two grandchildren, that she also loves spending time with. She loves reading, traveling and learning about new holistic products and protocols.

Originally from Pungo, NC, Amy Harris Shirley graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Medical Arts School in Raleigh in 2008. Since, Amy has built a devoted following in the  Raleigh/Knightdale area, something she believes has everything to do with always being willing to listen, learn and grow.

 

Amy has a strong knowledge in anatomy, physiology, pathology.  She is certified in Qi Gong and the Science of Nutritional Healing, Swedish/Relaxation Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Reflexology, and Pre & Perinatal Massage...she has delivered 2 babies during her career.  She has also studied Chakra Balancing, Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue Melting and Energy as Neuro Medicine, which goes well with her practice of Shaman Journeying techniques with past trauma removal, soul clearing and cleansing.   Five seasons were spent as the Carolina Mudcats Baseball Team's massage therapist.

When she’s not promoting her clients’ well-being and relaxation, or learning more about her field, Amy’s involved in community projects, as well as a wife and mother of two. She loves to spend time with her family, play outdoors, creative arts and jewelry, and practice aromatherapy, nutrition, yoga and herbal medicine.

 

Amy, Dawn and Aimee offer yoga every Saturday morning at 8:30am. We create a series of self-exploration workshops every month which include Yin Style Yoga, Sound Healing and Shamanic Journeying.
